Default Acura TL experiences?

Looking at the TL and the G35. TL seemed more refined, more standard options. G35, more torque, certainly feels quicker, and obviously RWD. Would really like to hear from the TL owners and any experiences. thanks

For TL info check out acurazine.com

I just got out of a TL and into an S2000...I missed driving a sports car. I had an 04 and it had teething problems and was, imo, not up to par with typical Acura quality as far as interior fit and finish (lots of rattles from the first day of ownership), otherwise, the performance and overall ride, combined with the standard features really gives the owner lots of value for the money.

Supposedly the rumor is Acura is bringing a Type-S model to the TL line for 2007 by dunking the RL 3.5l engine in it.

I have an 04 TL and won't miss it when its gone.

The car is a better value than the other stuff in its class but at the end of the day it is a designer accord with cheap leather, the world's crappiest carpet and overboosted steering.

I cross shopped an Accord and TL. From the drivers seat it felt the same. I went with the Accord.

Note, I think the rattles, are inherent in the Accord layout. My friend had a TL and his creaked in the exact same spot as mine (rear right pillar). The TL handles better and has a few more lux features. Otherwise it's just a gussied up Accord.

If you want the name brand and don't mind paying a $7-10k premium over an Accord then go for it. Otherwise, wait until the refreshed G35 debuts and go with that.

I keep hearing there are problems with the TL in the Automatic transmission! I would get TSX if you could live with no V6!

Having driven TSX loaners, I concur with this statement. I would even go so far as to say that the TSX is a much better "driver's" car.

I wouldnt buy another TL myself. Just to many damn rattles and creakes and problems. It was probably the worst car I have ever owned as far as reliability.
