I wish I could afford to short-term lease a car like a GT-R just to ''have fun with it'' for a few months

Life must be good for some of you guys

Curious...what is the monthly lease payment on the GT-R?

He says it's in the $8xx/mo. range, but I don't see how it can be that low. Maybe he just didn't want me to rag on him for blowing too much money on cars.

$800 monthly depreciation expense on a $90k car seems surpisingly low. Maybe there is a huge up front payment.

I'd think a GT-R is much more a GT car than the previous two cars he owned - not sure if isolated is due to the fact that its so techno-laden as much as it is a buttoned down FM car rather than an obvious supercar. The GT-R is well known as an unemotional car though.

[QUOTE=rockville,Apr 4 2010, 10:46 PM] I don't agree with that.

Anyone else see the long term comments in (name the magazine here, I get too many, Car and Driver? Automobile?). Something north of 7 ****** grand for a brake job, new pads and rotors. What in the ****?

Local dealers in Chicago both quoted in the $1100/mo range last week with no money down for 12K miles per year lease for 36 months.

Wow. I see Nissan's extended their agressive leasing deals to every car they have. Makes sense since you can get a G37 coupe loaded for about 550/mo.

The GT-R is said to be most fun when pushed at a track. Otherwise, it's too civil, quiet, and stable to be fun in daily driving; hence the "digital" feeling.
