I had a 93.5 GS-R back in 93. I came from drive a lifted 22RE Toyota pickup to driving a little pocket rocket. I thought it was the fastest thing on earth and I as surprised how good of a MPG it had. Nice car, great for my college years. I had some problems with the dashboard cracking and vents breaking and little parts here and there snapping off after a couple of years the car seemed to make a few more rattles after a few miles. It seems to be something Acuras just can't help because I had rattles in my TL after about 20000 miles. I test drove a new TL a couple of years ago and it rattled new. Back the the GS-R, man I miss winding that engine up, I remember it sounding better than the S2ki.

I drove a 2nd-gen GSR once. Pretty nicely modded, though about an inch too low for regular driving. It didn't have too many engine mods...nothing serious, but it was quick. The exhause system ws partly embarrasing too, though not fart can bad. In the end I passed it up because the guy wanted $7500 for a 10-yr old GSR, that, though well taken care of, I didn't think was worth that much.

It probably would've been a fun car to have though.

Well replacing that A pipe looks to be too much work for me. I'm just gonna leave it the way it is, it's just a noisey hassle for 300-400rpms. Thanks for the input, I've already had to replace a starter and I hear that the brake master cylinders go bad at around 100k miles. Another repair

Yep, I still miss my '95 GSR. Great mix of sport (for a front-wheel-drive) and luxury.

In my 80k miles of ownership my dealer did a couple of major things under warranty. That A-pipe or something like it. I noticed a slight loss of power under VTEC and the dealer diagnosed it as the separators breaking down on whatever the shorty-header-like thing is. And a wheel bearing. Dealer did say bearing failures are rare, but it still would have been like $400 out of my pocket if not under warranty.

i think the 4dr's were made in japan while the 3dr's were made in USA...i remember my japanese friend got the 4dr because he didn't trust integras assembled in the usa

all the 3G integras were made in Japan.

If it has J as the first letter in the VIN, it is from JAPAN.

The window sticker on my 99 GSR coupe confirms it was made in Japan.

Christople, just get a used header...problem solved.

Yeah I'm thinking about getting one. Any specific brands worth buying more than others?

the comptech is probably the best made out of them all and it is said to make the most torque overall. The DC is cheaper, but is prone to breaking.

I put a comptech in my GSR. Comptech really does make top-notch stuff.
