Just wait 6 months for the fan boy craze to disappear and snatch them up. It's not a car to lust after.

This is true, the numbers don't seem to be that limited and an awd version is planned. Additionally the Honda fanboy darling dc2 type r sat on dealer lots. Once the hardcore Honda enthusiasts buy up theirs these will sit as it does not have mass appeal like say an evo did.
But Honda could then come out and say it's not selling in the amounts we like so axe it and then values may go up.

I don't think it's special enough to drive values up.

I guess it comes down to how many units Honda will be making. I'm thinking the AWD version isn't really planned. The chief engineer just said more variants are under consideration. The more hardcore version and/or AWD version is just what a rumor, It's possible there will be an AWD version of CTR, it's also possible the AWD version of the CTR will be an Acura - specifically ILX Type S or something.

The value is so high now because it's very difficult to get one right now - ADM and limited supply. 6 months later when more are made, I doubt the ADM would exist. But whether it will be sold with discount...not too sure about that. Its current MSRP is noticeably cheaper than others (Golf R starts at $39k, STi starts at $36k with the limited at $41k, RS starts at $36k). I guess it depends on the discount on other cars too?

God damn if they're going AWD they could just as easily make a RWD model... like a more convenient S2K.

That's gonna be a different model. There's supposedly a mini NSX/S2k replacement that will come out in 2019 or something.

I don't know about the possibility of making a RWD Civic lol. That chassis is a FWD one...

I have one, #554 in Championship White, honestly debating selling/trading it if the right CR comes along.

Just bought a Championship White yesterday. Was late and I had work early in the morning but from the 30 mile drive home from the dealer, car felt great.
