The RS6 is the monster. The R8 whilst a good looking car needs to out muscle the Rs6 to have any place on the Audi family tree.

Also, you mentioned Audi stealing from Lambo, but I don't know that I agree that that is technically accurate. What i would say is more accurate is that Audi designed the Gallardo for Lambo and then wanted to reuse the same chassis with a different engine for their own purposes.
Obviously, it's not quite that cut and dry but it is hard to say that Audi is stealing from Lambo when they Gallardo is an Audi chassis that is stylized to look like a Lambo.
