That's cause he knew it would probably get shot up, and a Bangle BMW doesn't look any worse with bullet holes in it!

I followed a Pantera down a mountain pass. It shot flames. My friend's old turbo Neon shot flames too.

special effects ... since they were using the paddle shift F430, they wanted to reinforce the fact they were going fast so the director thought it would be a good idea to do that since they really couldn't show Colin Farrell slamming the shift knob into every single gear (like Nic Cage in "The Rock" with the F355 in the chase scene or Martin Lawrence in "Bad Boys" with the Porsche 911 TT) ... the use of the paddle shifter takes away from the intensity of the scene because all the driver has to do is flick the paddle
No, F430s shoot out a little blue flame. There was a home vid posted on F-chat a few months back of an 430 in a tunnel, blue flames and all. I agree it was emphasized to show "OMG f4St0rZ" but the cars do that by themselves.

if you have EMS... retard your timing or add more fuel (richen) up your car... you can get some beautiful flames going if you have no cat and a straight-through exhaust.

Turbo rotaries do it all the time. It, along with the backfiring gets a little embarrassing.

honestly, I have never watched a full episode of Miami Vice, the only thing I remember about the opening of the show were Flamingos and a white Testarossa.

I guess I was too young to remeber or it just never intrigued me, lol.

all I remember from the 80's "Miami Vice" was the beginning of the show with the girl in the white bikini top jiggling her way from the left of the screen to the right
