Cadillac Improves Interiors
Just saw the newly redesigned interior for the Cadillac SRX a few days ago. Much nicer overall - in a way (not sure why) it reminds me of the layout in some Acuras. I think it's the navigation screen with the buttons on the side and such - like a TSX, for one.
Much nicer, compared to the previous iteration, as shown below.
Thoughts and comments?

Much, much nicer! What took them so long? Finally did away with the generic radio shack-like AC and nav controls. Panels appear to be of higher quality material as well, although pics are too small to tell for sure. The side vents are obnoxiously huge... and made worse by highlighting them with silver trim. Other than that, s
Finally an interior to go with its price tag.

CTS interior for 2008 is going to be a HUGE improvement too, very similiar to the SRX. I've seen a few spy shots. The SRX is based on the same set-up as the CTS, so interior is very similiar Thinking a next-gen CTS-V could be my next go-fast sedan.
Have you guys seen the new Equinox interior and the interior of the new Saturn Aura sedan? I think GM is 'starting' to figure out interior appearance and perceived quality.

The thing that gets me is that the interior looked pretty darned good in my great uncle's 1998 STS:
Why they detoured into that plasticky ATM-looking thing sticking out of the dash is beyond me; glad they are on the right path again.
Edit: on second glance, WTF did they tilt those sidevents JUUUUUST off of horizontal, so it looks like an error? Had they been actually horizontal it would look 50% better again.

While in the Pontiac dealer the other day I was quite impressed with the quality of the interiors in almost all the models.
I don't like this one that much because I am not a plood fan and the triangle steering wheel is kind of fugly. But I have seen much worse.
