It was a load of Kia Sorentos. I hear that Kia stock actually went up when the news came out.

I read on another forum that the cars were just Mazdas (3 series and that crossover SUV thing).

They didn't clean the cars before they put them on the boat............figured they'd just wash up on shore later.........

All the cargo would definitely be insured, so it shouldn't be that big a deal. Loss of goods due to sinking, spoilage and damages to loading/unloading and transport is rather common in the ocean freight industry.
