Cars I drove this week.
i'm lucky enough to have a job where i get to drive a huge variety of cars every week. Some boring, some mind blowing. i'm basically a service advisor sort of person at a start-up that sells used cars on behalf of the owner. just want to share my experiences with some of the more interesting ones here.
kicking it off with a 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo. this one is PDK(double clutch) and pretty loaded with chrono package(see stopwatch on dash). the green is nice but the carmel colored interior is pretty awful! the PDK is super smooth and nearly seamless in auto or manual mode and the power is crushing. scary even. the build quality is pretty good but i'm always disappointed with the seats, pretty lame for an expensive sports car. hardly any bolstering. the raw power is definitely the highlight on this one. handling wise the front end on 911s always feels a little floaty to me which i don't like. anyway, took this one into the body shop by request of the buyer to get the paint thickness measured. he wanted to make sure it was never repaired or repainted. the paint thickness checked out as uniform but the guy at the body shop mentioned that the thickness wasn't great for an expensive car, only around 3mm.

I like that color interior! Seat selection is picked at order time. I have a feeling most don't go for the big bolstered seats on the GT end of the 911 range.

yeah, it seems like porsche makes every little thing on the car an option. i suppose you are right, most don't go for better seats. most of the porsches we get have pretty flat seats.

I'm looking to sell my car but not sure if I want to sell myself or to go through a company. Thanks.

I knew there had to be somebody.
I absolutely can not stand the Porsche tan interiors, but when you look at used Porsches, a huge percentage have it so it must be fairly popular.
The black or grey hold up much better over time, but oh so much tan.........
At least the one in the photos is a full leather package because the dash looks much better in tan leather than tan vinyl and plastic.

The full leather package is a must on that level of Porsche.

Good lord and people complain about the Vette seats? I am sure it is supple, but damn, that is not an attractive interior at all and the seat looks to have no support whatsoever.
