Default Cars you've owned and cars you want to own...

Have seen old, similar threads, but nothing quite like this. Thought it'd be fun to make lists and add a few comments. Here goes...

OWNED

'92 Mazda 929 (gray-blue) - Grandfather basically gave it to me. Was actually pretty sleek and sporty. Never see them nowadays. SOLD

'96 Nissan 240SX (red) - Another rear wheel drive car as a teen. Wasn't a "car guy" then, so bought an automatic and never swapped it. Enjoyed it with intake, exhaust and wheels. SOLD

'00 Honda S2000 (silverstone) - Affordable dream car and college grad gift to myself. Now 96,000 miles with CR front, Greddy SE, Ohlins, Volks, etc. Exceptionally clean. Keeper forever.

'96 Jeep Cherokee (white) - Just a two-door, 2WD, but an ideal daily beater to park outside (with S2K in the garage). After severe electrical problems, it was a reliable tank. SOLD

'07 Acura TSX (red) - Great daily, although it seemed like every wearable part broke simultaneously. Then I was in a no fault accident. Had to let it go for super cheap. SOLD

'08 Honda Civic Si Mugen (fiji blue) - Decent performer and better looker with ample utility. Still get to enjoy VTEC and a terrific manual tranny (and Mugen) when the S2K stays parked.

In my mid-30s now and haven't owned that many cars, relatively speaking. Future cars I gotta own (if money ever allows... so, yeah)...

WANT TO OWN

'17+ Honda Civic Type R - I'm a Honda loyalist and have grown to love it. Less revs and an obnoxious rear bumper are easily overcome by the performance, front end and front seats.

'98-'01 Acura Integra Type R - Have always thought of them as a FWD, fixed roof S2000 light. I'm a sucker for raw, visceral driver's cars.

'91-'05 Acura NSX - Former dream Honda or current dream Honda, not sure. Would still love to experience ownership though.

'07+ Porsche GT3 (normal or RS) - So expensive, so who knows. The ultimate exotic driver's car. Enough said.

'70 something Datsun 240, 260 or 280Z or 510 - Not that interested in a stock one. A mildly modded version with mostly period correct parts would do... maybe even a "restomod."

'70-'80 something Toyota truck or SUV - So reliable and rugged. Really appreciate the engineering and looks.

2000 something Ariel Nomad - So pure and spartan. Blasting through fire roads in the mountains would never get old.

There are some other cars I really like (e30 M3, Lancia's, F40, etc.), but that's my list for now.

Your turn!

OWNED

'98 Acura Integra LS (white/gray) - Owned 2000-2013, modded to be "Type R+", got me through HS, college, and grad school, winning tons of autocrosses along the way and dominating Michigan winters on Blizzaks. Awesome car and wish I still had it, never skipped a beat.

'01 BMW M5 (silver-blue/black) - Owned 2009-2015. After my Integra, which I had stripped the P/S, A/C, and sound deadening out of, 400hp/369lb/ft, RWD, and things like an Alcantara headliner and power headrests was just amazing. A freaking awesome car but not without its perpetual list of "to-do" items. Owned by a close friend now.

'02 Honda S2000 (Sebring Silver/black) - Owned 2013-2016. First true sports car and track car. Loved VTEC, the shifter, quick responses, top-down fun and dead nuts reliability. Hated the lack of torque and abundance of noise.

'11 BMW M3 sedan 6MT (white/red) - Have owned since 2016. A perfect all-around car - exotic 8,400rpm V8 and great handling, but comfy, practical and nice enough to be a great daily. Was amazingly lucky to get the exact spec I wanted - white on red, Comp Pkg, manual, sedan, optional stereo and other conveniences but critically, lacking heavy sunroof and power seats. Plan to keep it a good long while.

WANT TO OWN
The list of cars I want to own is never-ending, so I will focus on the cars I am realistically shopping for in the next few years. I actually have a "fun car fund" (wife's idea, what a keeper!) that I could realistically use to buy a "low-tier" car in the next year or two, a "mid-tier" car in 3-4 years, or a "high-tier" car in 5-7 years, depending on how things go (the fund is a function of my raises, bonuses, and how well I invest that $).

Lower Tier
Another S2000 - I miss having an open top, and it's hard to find anything in this price range that offers so much while being so worry-free. Would probably mod more this time though.

987 Boxster S - Just a great all-around sports car.

Mid Tier
981.1 Boxster S - Have to say these look a lot nicer than the 987, inside and out.

997.2 or 991.1 Carrera S - Drove a 997.1 C2S and loved it. Would have one if I didn't need a sedan.

Mustang GT350 - It's kind of like my M3 but ramped up even more.

Lotus Elise - I've rented one... they feel so pure and focused!

Ariel Atom w/K20 - This would be a blast!

Morgan Three-Wheeler - Same as above, but at slower speeds.

High Tier
Boxster Spyder/Cayman GT4 - Looks like the complete package.

F430 Spider - Would check off "Ferrari" on my bucket list, appears to be a great driver's car with minimal depreciation and actually fairly reliable as Ferraris go.

1st-gen R8 V10 Spider, 6MT - N/A 8,400rpm V10, gated manual shifter, comfy enough to use often, great handling.

997.2 911 GT3 - Have wanted one since they came out. So raw and focused. Won't depreciate. Not as exotic as the Ferrari or R8, but maybe the best to drive esp. on track.

I'll make this short and sweet.

I'm buying a 97 Viper GTS next year as a fulfillment of a Dream of mine since before I could drive. Also plan on buying the wife a Gen2 CTS-V coupe. Haven't really thought of anything beyond that as I'm laser focused on the Viper.

With a S2k, Vette, Viper and the wife having 2 cars plus the CTS, That will be more than enough for a while.

OWNED
'93 Honda Civic EX, - got it and the oil was getting into the water and I didn't fix it on time so I ended up blowing the engine on my way to my last final on my first year of college. Fixed it and kept it for about 2 years.
2000 Honda Civis SI - I bought it from my brother (in other words I took it over) while he went and bought another Si (same model), I kept it for a few years then sold it.

STILL OWN
'09 Honda Civic SI - I bought it after I blow up the engine on my '93 civic and it took my bro and I through college and I still have it. Going strong to 150K on it.
06 S2000 - My Dream car I bought it recently and so far I love it. Planning on keeping it stock while I pay it off

WANT TO OWN
Honda Civic Type R
GTR
Porsche 918 Spyder
Lotus Elise

All you can do is dream right?

Owned:

62 Corvair Monza (my first car, ugh! Ralph Nader was right.)*
53 Ford flathead 8 (what a tank!)
56 Chevy Bel Air convertible.
67 Mustang.
69 fastback Mustang with a 351 Cleveland manual shift. I bought it after I saw the movie Bullett (hopped up with headers, cam, high rise manifold huge Holley carb, Mallory dual point distributor, Hurst shifter)
72 Ford Econoline van (I added wood panel interior, foam mattress for bed, sliding windows with curtains, pop up top vent, wood cabinets, sink, stove, icebox, 9 speaker stereo, interior water tank, motorcycle rack on back, plywood platform on top with steel frame, storage box on platform.) daily driver. Drove it to Cabo San Lucas. Next month drove it to Cuernavaca, past Mexico City.
70 Pontiac Le Mans (wife).
74 VW canper. Took delivery at factory in Weidenbruck. Spent the summer touring Europe. Took it camping all over the western US. Rolled it in Big Bear, a mountain resort east of LA at 7,500 feet. The platform flew off and landed in a tree.
75 Mustang (wife).
78 BMW 320i (wife).
79 BMW 320i manual shift (added 500 watt stereo) manual shift.
91 Honda Accord (wife).
93 Honda Prelude manual shift (added 1,000 watt stereo)
95 Honda Passport (wife) totaled in head on.
95 Honda Passport (wife) replacement.
97 Honda Prelude Type SH manual shift (added 1,500 watt stereo)
00 S 2000 (added 5,000 watt stereo).
01 Acura MDX (wife).
06 S2000 (same stereo as 00 S).

Now:

14 Corvette convertible with manual shift, Z51 performance package, magnetic selective ride control, performance exhaust, 3LT interior package. My first Vette. Had it shipped from Kerbeck Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Atlantic City, NJ (largest Corvette dealer in the world) to LA.
15 Acura RDX (wife).

Next:

I don't know, maybe upcoming C8 mid engine Corvette convertible, if price doesn't break the bank.

*Corvair: The hood (actually luggage compartment lid) flew off on the freeway and sailed neatly through the passenger side of the windshield of a moving van behind me. A few feet to the left and the driver would have been decapitated. The front end would start shaking uncontrollably for no apparent reason and I'd have to hit the brakes hard. The steering would come loose from the steering box and I could spin the steering wheel with the car going in a straight line. All the wiring in the car caught on fire. I had to take off the distributor cap and sand the points before I could start it up in the morning. I went through about five batteries. The brakes failed in an intersection and I T-boned a camper with two really old people in it, knocking it on its side. All their clothes, dishes, etc. flew out the back and into the street, only to get run over by traffic. I fried three clutches. One of the mounts holding the driver's seat to the floor broke, for no apparent reason, and It and I fell into the back seat on the freeway. The engine caught on fire twice because the carburetors were flooding with gas. The distributor wires were forever popping off the spark plugs.
