We laugh now and rightfully so, but we'll all be driving Chinese cars in the next 20-30 years one way or another.
China Blows By US

Well, as long as people think it's better to flood the market with cheap crap we could easily make here vs. grow our own economy, yes we'll all be forced to drive cars from wherever they are cheapest.
Why precisely does an economy based on cheap labor, government subsidy, and abysmal employment practices get a free pass in the US? Why don't we have some drive to keep products from that kind of country off our store shelves? I don't hate China, but if China was Texas, it would be run a whole lot differently and the output would be a whole lot higher quality.
Yet a business owner in Texas cannot operate at home the way he can operate a factory in China. If his products are going to be on my store shelves, why can't they be held to the same labor and safety practices as US producers?

even Warren Buffett invested in this company so I guess that speaks for itself.
i think the car doesn't look bad... it's just the ride height and generic looking.
the reason that most chinese cars sit taller because of the undeveloped road in china. thus taller and more ground clearance.
