Clutches similar in quality to OEM?
I need some advice pertaining to my 98 Accord.
My clutch is going bye bye, and I'm looking at 825 bucks for a new one (335 for the clutch, 475 for labor). I've searched for OEM clutches from places other than my dealer, and I've found them for considerably less. The listed brand is Exedy, and I read elsewhere that Exedy/Daikin does OEM clutches for Honda, Toyota, and a couple other manufacturers. Is this true?
Also, if there are any AEM clutches that are similar or slightly better in quality, I'd be glad to check them out too.
Thanks

Since it's about your Accord, moving to Car talk.
That being said, A stock clutch is all you'll need on a stock Accord. Exedy/Daikin is a OEM manufacturer. I've seen there names on OEM Honda clutches before. There isn't much need for a HD clutch.
If you must have a HD clutch, ACT sells reworked OEM pressure plates for just about anything in the Street clutch line.
