Purple Haze

Hi. I test drove the 2006 Civic Si yesterday. I found it to be an exciting road rocket, easy to rev, great shifting, solid feeling, great handling, very high quality car.

Has anyone else test drivin this car? Does anyone own it? What are your opinions?

I actually just sold my NSX due to job relocation and bought a Civic Si. Really fun car thus far. PM me if you have any questions. Btw, I also owned an S2000 prior to the NSX.

how do you compare the SI to the S2000? i know there is no real comparison, but still, i would like to know, i have a rsx type-s, and i just picture the si with the rsx's driving feel, ala, overweighted numb steering, but fairly fast. how is the transmission compared to the s2000's?

Ive driven many 06 Si's.....Car is fun as hell, fantastic engine, love the exhaust and intake noise.....Have yet to see one run on the AutoX.

You answered your own question....you cant compare a RWD and FWD car...

06 Si will run circles around the RSX-S. Handles and grips 10x better. 06 Si is much more track worthy then the RSX-S

S2000 shift linkage = direct
Civic shift linkage = cable

I have yet to drive one and that will probably remain since the Honda dealer I work at has none on the lot right now, but I would like to see what the car is like.
