Keep the Miata...
Keep the Miata....
I have a Miata track car and even though it has no power on the straights, it blasts through turns. It may not be a S2000 but it is almost as fun to drive.
oh yea, FWD sucks.

keep the miata, the s2000's keep getting cheaper... and before you know it youll be succesful enough to own one, along with the insuracne. the insurance on a honda will probably be more then your miata assuming you have full coverage, liability only will probably be the same.

Miata's are dope! If anything, just upgrade to the Turbo Miata! They run around $18k and under, and they are very, very easy to mod! It already has teh front mount intercooler too!

I'll be a nice guy and offer $2k for your MX-5. Cash!
Keep the Miata, you'll be glad you did. 100k miles on a Miata is nothing. Lots of guys on www.miataforum.com have well over 200k and going strong.

Keep the Miata. It's the world's best-selling sportscar for a reason. I still kept mine after adding other cars. To this day, the Miata is still one of the most fun cars I've driven. Sure the S2000 has more power, but it's also significantly heavier than the original generation Miata. I can definitely feel the weight difference when driving around.
Selling a lightweight RWD car for a FWD economy car seems ridiculous. A move like this would only make sense if you need a more practical vehicle (more seats, trunk space, etc.).
By the way, I think I saw you driving your Miata on Espola Road in Poway a few months ago. Your car is very clean.

I was just thinking I could have a similar fun experience doing an engine swap in a civic.
In my opinion, the Miata is somewhat like the S2K in that it was...and is...a purpose built sportscar! A well engineered, balanced, machine. A Civic was not meant to be this type of car. Why give that up to create something that was not meant to be in the first place?
Enjoy your beautiful car! Chalk up another vote to keep the Miata!
