Sick to death of the never-ending size/weight escalation of new cars.
I'm actually ENCOURAGED by increasing CAFE regs! Something needs to bring car sizes/weights back down to earth.

I'm not so sure the Taurus comparison is exagerated. I was just in a dealership and saw a huge car ($42,000 to top it all off) and when I looked at the sticker I was shocked to see it was a Taurus.
I'm actually happy to see the size difference in the Abarth as I really want to look at one once they are available here and I was worried about the size.

I own a 1st gen BMW mini and have ridden in a original mini. Honestly its pretty freakin scary. You touch shoulders with the person next to you, your head is even with the hubs of semi's and the doors feel like something a toy FAO Schwartz car would have.
So in this case I am glad it was made larger. Still ~2575lbs is fairly light
