Finally!
I've wanted a Sti since the LTD came out a couple of years ago. I love hatches and actually need one for a large breed dog I'm picking up in a few weeks. (Want to carry the dog in a crate in the back of the car).
Subaru recently announced 0% financing for up to 63 months on all 2008 Sti's. Well this past weekend I read up on some of the Sti forums that many dealers were going 6-7k off of sticker. I couldn't believe it at first. 0% for 63 months and huge discounts on 2008 models. Today I found about 5-6 dealers offering anywhere from $6-8k off of MSRP. I called a particular dealer in CO springs and they were offering $28k on base models, and $30.3k for base + BBS option (comes with fog lights). They charge one of those document fees for $300, told me that up front....I wanted just the BBS/Fogs options, no other do-dads (Suby has heaps of little trinkets you can add to the car) so the CO dealer would be $30.3k + $300 document fee + $450 shipping equaling $31,050, and they were almost out of stock, with very limited color choices. I then checked with closest dealer, wouldn't even come close to this "we are a few thousand away." NEXT! I called dealer after dealer local until I found a couple that would take the bait. One dealer had White w/Gold BBS, and the other had Dark Grey Metallic (My #1 choice) w/Silver BBS. Some more phone haggling and I got my price, $31.5k before TTL. That is $4k under invoice, and a little over $6k under MSRP with destination included. I really wanted to haggle more and find a better deal but that was the best I could do in my immediate area. I mean these things will be gone in a week at these prices.
So like a dumbass I gave in and bought it tonight. We had flash floods in DFW tonight so I had to test the AWD out proper on the first drive Drives like a champ! I have to pussy it around for a while but should have break in done by weeks end. My Si Sedan will be going to another member here so his S will get garage/weekend duty.
Shit phone cam pic for now, full review to come later.

$6k off and 0% for 60+ months is a good deal. If you're a car buyer, this is the best market in many, many years.
