There are some good technical pics here:

They are clearly pics of the LeMans spec race car, but you can see the factory chassis, suspension pickup points, etc. which would be common between the road-going car and the race car. A couple things that jumped out at me are an aluminum space frame and inboard front suspension.

Because when I saw an Aventador the other day the sound of it's V12 exhaust gave me goose bumps as the driver took off. For $400k+ that's something I'd want from my car.

I want one of these so bad.

I'm curious to see if the people on this board evaluate it the same way they do the NSX...

I am just happy they are bringing it.

The pricing seems out there but we shall see.

I have a hard time believing it will be faster than a 488 and will be about $175 higher in price.

Yes, I get that it has a lot of CF in the build.

OK, then how about the comparison to a 675LT, the Ford GT will be at least $75K higher.

Why ?

In terms of pricing, there is a huge wait list that will not be fulfilled due to limited production, obviously many who do not feel the price is erroneous.

I personally think the styling is amongst the most spectacular in the history of the super/hyper car realm, just beautiful and functional.

It should smoke the 488, I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't. Regardless, if I had 500k lying around and knew someone at ford I would of bought one, no second thoughts.

The Ferrari has like 670 HP.

My guess is the GT will have less than that but will have a weight advantage.

So spank it, I kind of wonder about that.

Again, this is a toy for the well under 1% so value is not the real story.

Lots of Americans will want an American (made in Canada) toy.

Most of them will live in garages and have a pampered life.

When I visited the Ferrari dealer near work last week, the salesman noted that many of the cars are point a to point a. The guy takes it out for a ride, never parks it anywhere for fear of damage and puts it back in the garage. He said almost none of his clients take the car for week end trips. One client did recently have the car shipped to Pebble Beach for the Concours and then drove it home to IL.

The motor is impressive and development faster then NSX. Holding out on price to learn more on specs:

unlike Honda ford has a history of success with the GT. Wish it was a small block v8 TT. But power is good.

is there a realistic chance that the curb weight for this beast will be under 3,000lb? IMO that seems more than feasible given the lack of hybrid crap to weigh it down.
