FJ Cruiser worth buying in 2wd?
Been thinking about FJ cruiser as a daily. I want the 4wd mainly cuz I want the car fully loaded, but I won't use it enough to justify the cost. You guys think a 2wd FJ is worth getting?

I think that any large vehicle should be 4wd. A 2wd fj is just wrong.
On a side note, have you driven one? The rear visibility for those is terrible. I would not want to daily something that I could not see out of. Other than that, I think that in the right color with the right setup, they can be very cool looking.

When I was shopping for a 4wd, I went and sat in one and got out. The blind spots are terrible! Not sure, but there might be a rear camera option in the FJ. It only cemented my decision to get an Xterra.

I have one and i switch between 2wd and 4wd as i please.
i only use 4wd when it really snows...other than that you will barely ever use it..there is no need to..unless your trekking in the forest and get stuck in a pool of mud.
that being said the FJ is one of the best suv's to go off roading in..google it.
mine includes a rear view camera, even so properly adjusted mirrors and good habits won't be an issue for you..even my 5'3 mom can drive this no problem..
gas is a big thing...the 4.0 eats like no tommorow..good thing the 09+ takes regular now.
if your area has a huge snowfall...i wouldn't recommend it...albeit the traction control is top notch, just a hassle.
need more variables..

You'd get a lot more utility out of a Tacoma Double Cab 4WD. I love mine and even though I live in Southern Cali, I tend to use the 4WD quite often when fishing or just trekking some trails around here.

Are you seriously asking if you should spend the money on 4wd even though you don't need it just so that your car will be loaded and people won't think you're a poser?
Maybe you're a poser if you get 4wd but never take it off pavement?
Maybe you should just get the car that you want in the trim that you want it because it's what you like and stop worrying about what you think other people want you to drive.
