Default Former and current Mustang owners...

My '02 Sebring/Black S2000 should arrive in about two weeks, so I have been on this website quite a bit catching up on tips/tricks and meeting new people. One thing that I have noticed is that there are a lot of former/current Mustang owners on this board. To me the S2000 has a lot of qualities the Mustang will never have (excellent handling, refinement, 9K rpm, etc.) but I still like the brute force approach of the Mustang.

I would like to set up an S2KI "sub-club" to honor the muscle car roots of now S2000 owners. This of course, will not be a real "club" per se, but just a fun way to indentify owners with a common background. Here are my credentials:

Former Mustangs
'65 Mustang GT - Blue, All Original
'91 Mustang GT - Silver/Grey, Automatic, a few mods...
'99 Roush Mustang -White, Roush Stage II Suspension, Side Exhaust, Vortech Supercharger (325 rwhp), 13" Baer brakes, etc.

Current Mustang
'92 Mustang GT - Green, Ported GT40 Heads, Cobra Intake, E303 Cam, 24lb Injectors, C&L 73mm Mass Air, BBK 65mm TB, 1 5/8" Headers, 2 1/2" Dynomax Ultra Flo Catback, 3.73 Gears, MAC Strut Tower Brace, Eibach Springs, MM Caster/Camber Plates, MM Full Length Subframe Connectors, Potenza S02 Tires

Please list your credentials below and join the club!!!

Well, lets see...............

'66 Convertible Emberglo/parchment pony interior
'69 Mach 1 Alcapulco Blue, deluxe black interior 351W
'66 Coupe Emberglo, parchment deluxe int
'65 Convertible Caspian blue, standard blue int. I was second owner of this flawless car which has a unique and rich history.
'66 GT Fastback, Nightmist blue with deluxe blue/white pony interior.

I loved each and every one of them Getting an S so I can enjoy driving a cool car more and not "working" on them as much. I have about 15 years of Mustang Memorabilia if anyone is interrested................

Yeah I have a '00 GT Tropic Green/Tan Leather all the bells and whistles except traction control... after all why would I want traction control in a Stang... hehe... light mods...

- MAC Pro-Chamber Pipe ( no cats ) w/ 2.5 flow tubes to 2.5 2-chamber Flowmasters
- 3.73 gears
- Superchip ( and yes believe it or not it made a difference )
- Motorsport C-springs cut up... 1.5 coils in the rear and 1 coil in the front ( just right )
- Steeda Caster/Camber plates
- Pro 5.0 shifter w/ Steeda shift knob
- MAC Chrome Cold Air Induction ( in fender w/ K&N Cone filter )
- Saleen underdrive pulleys
- Nitto NT555 Extreme's ( awesome tires by the way... been very happy w/ em )
- 15 percent black tint

Nothing major as far as mods go but alot of fun none the less... course as all of you know... its who you race not what you race w/in reason of course...

I shall miss her in her green glory but alas my 2002 Sebring/Red will be here in approx one week... Im sure I'll miss my green brute but it will all dissappear when the S2K arrives... oh and also when I go to the gas pump... geez that Stang drank the gas...

Later.....................

Kicked a lot of Mustang butt with my '96 Z28. Does that count?

AKA, the Mustang is to muscle cars what the Miata is to Roadsters. Each began a modern era of their class and each is worthy of our admiration.

Shark, why'd you get rid of the '99 Roush? But now have a '92?

'88 LX 5.0 - sold about a year and a half ago.

handing stuff:
- Like Taint - cut up just the same - FMS C-Springs
- Koni Red's
- PST Front and Rear Swaybars
- PST rear bushings
- Griggs Torque Arm
- Griggs Heavy Duty Adj. panhard rod
- Max MS's 3pt Strut tower bar
- BBK Camber/Caster Kit
- BBK offset rack bushings
- Hawk brake pads all around
- Brake proportioning valve
- Aluminum brake caliper sleeves
- SS braided brake lines
- homemade sub-frame connectors

Motor & drivetrain: (not much - but all NA!)
- 65mm tbody
- 65mm bored EGR spacer
- hand ported, polished, & port matched upper and lower plenums
- FMS Aluminum driveshaft
- FMS 3.73 gears
- Auburn carrier with stocker 28 spline axles
- Hurst short throw Shifter
- 2-baffle flow masters dumped before the axels
- cats punched out (was cleaner than stock! ha!)

other misc stuff
- approximately 90% of the interior
- car didn't come with power anything - no power locks, nor a cassette. was the base of the V8 and was standard, that was my only requirements when buying the car
- have tried a variety of traction mods for street until I got into SCCA racing, so lots of different variations on the rear.
- a few other items here and there but can't think of them at the moment.

I think jwfisher can add to this in his extensive Mustang experience.
