Default Fusion tops Accord and Camry in Reliability Index

Didn't have the time to check it out myself. Interesting if accurate.

It looks like the next iteration of the Fusion will be a much nicer car inside and if the reliability is as reported, it should be a winner.

I call bullsh*t and would like to see JD Power & Associates results.

Honda & Toyota > FORD in terms of reliability.

Anything can be reliable when it's new. LOL!

Um, yes, unless we have time traveling machines it's rather difficult to get actual reliability. FYI, predicted reliability is measured off initial quality and dependability for the last 3 years. And since the Fusion hasn't changed since 2006 it should be fairly accurate. Actual dependability ratings will come in another year for the Fusion (2006 models). But basically if predicted is 10/10 it means it's 2/3 of the way there for at least a 9/10.

2005 Dependability Accord 9/10, Camry 10/10.

The problem is, Ford bought back the majority as lemons, then sent the forms into CR showing perfect reliability because they "would not admit to any fault in the vehicles".

Their analysis is idiotic. A broken transmission and a bad window regulator are counted the same.

Yup, I have had both on my S2000... more than once!

The last Ford I owned was far and away more reliable than my S2000 or my mothers Accord.

Too many are convinced that Jap makes are perfect and they are not.
