if it matters to you....... I actually assumed an NSX lease from a guy.... I showed him my credit history, etc.... and he trusted me. The only way he would have been liable was if Honda gave up on me... like if i stopped making payments and then filed bankruptcy or something.

it is risky for sure but he trusted me enough and the lease is now over and we both got what we wanted (well... i actually wanted a faster car but thought the NSX was going to be fast...
