I have mixed feelings about active safety measures like this and things like automatic braking systems that seem to be slowly replacing driver attentiveness and common sense.

The difference is that GM alway made a Corvette (even the slow 1980 vette counts to some degree) and the early Cosworth Vega was at least an attempt at something fun. Granted their products have not always be made with the highest quality in mind, but there was always something for the enthusiast at the GM store. Great quality aside, Honda now prides itself on people movers that have electronic doohickys that help inept drivers pay less attention to their surroundings.
Maybe I need more fiber in my diet.... but I digress.
