there was a thread a few months back where a guy on some corvette forum ran a ten second quarter mile in a basically stock z06. i have searched but i cant find the thread.

That was my friend, Carlos, who did that here in DFW. I don't have the thread, but it was a 10.9 at 130mph with headers, low temp thermostat, tune, and cold air intake. He lowered the STOCK tires down to 25psi and put a bag of ice on the intake manifold for a while before ripping that run.

Good driver+C6 Z06+$2,500 worth of goodies=10.9 at 130mph. Wow.
