Leaked: 2009 Acura TL
I saw someone add a picture in a different thread, but not a thread dedicated to the TL. I've seen some spy shots but here are press pics of the car completely unmasked.
And the Grand Finale! This picture makes the TL look really awkward!

Woah....I wasn't looking forward to the car after all the leaked spy shots but I honestly have to say these don't look that bad. I actually sorta like the first picture. It doesn't look as awkward and bulky as I thought. It doesn't help that they're showing it in this color. I want to see it in black with the chrome accents contrasting. I bet this is one of the cars that are going to have to grow on people. It's different.
I like the current TL-S a lot though with the smoked out lights/gray wheels. If they give this a sportier, more aggressive treatment, it could be a nice competitor for the G35 Sedan with it's AWD. Either that or I'm talking a lotta nonsense.
Also, the front looks similar to the new TSX, and after seeing one of those on the road, I felt it looked much better in person.

At first I thought the front was the worst feature. Now that is unmasked, I think the front is not the worst part. The sides look blocky and the back is overly busy. Still an okay looking car, but starting to look generic and more like a lexus es3000 or a nissan maxima. Interior looks great except for the push start button, which kind of became a fad after the s2000 made it popular again. TL is not a race car.

I dig it. It's an Acura GS350, but it looks good. Acura could make enough of a case that it's close enough to a Lexus GS, now that it has AWD. And since the actual Lexus GS350 makes a very compelling case for itself, that you don't need to step up to the GS430 so much (of course now that the GS460 is out, this changes some), Acura can sort of duck for cover under that. The only real issue I see with it is how much it apes a Lexus GS, but there are worse examples to copy.
