I still don't understand why we have the builders worrying about making the drivers better drivers

Maybe we should fix the real problem of crappy ass drivers instead
Lets get rid of airbags, ABS, seat belts, all of that nonsense. Just give me a motor, steering wheel, and a seat. Actually, forget the seat.

On dozens of other S.U.V.’s tested by the magazine, the electronic stability control system of the vehicles detected and quickly stopped the slide. But the stability control did not stop the GX 460 until it was almost sideways, Mr. Champion said.
OK sure.....I but asked the question with the word identical. Is this 60mph, high steering angle lift off a standard test, performed on all SUV, and were all those SUV tested under identical parameters including surface conditions and temperature.

I don't trust CR....and I question their testing methodology.

I seem to remember some shadyness with them and the Samauri.....

How many S2000 have been wrecked this way? It's real world and I have seen it many times right in front of me on group drives.
Seriously...an S2000 and a luxury SUV, most people are smart enough to figure out that an S2000 and a 5-6,000 lb SUV don't handle even remotely similar and shouldn't be driven the same. I'm not in anyway implying that it shouldn't have been brought to light or that it shouldn't be addressed. As software and AI make a greater presence in automobiles things like this will be more common. I'm not a big fan of stability control but I certainly recognize the need for it...common sense seems to be more elusive these days.

Oh when Fords start rolling over, it's their fault. When Lexuses roll over, it's the customer's fault.
Waiting for TRDSilver's comments.

Anyone get the feeling we'll all be driving GM cars soon?

This is clearly a marketing problem and not a safety problem. They just need to market this bad boy as the only SUV that can drift.

Oh, your mom died when she rolled her GX 460? Well, she shouldn't have bought a sports car if she couldn't handle it.
