Acura's LMP2 entries are powered by Acura built 3.4-liter, aluminum alloy V8 engines

Problem is, will it have any bearing on an engine for production Acuras? Doubtful. That's way too small - they have V6s that are bigger. They'd have to seriously stroke that puppy to get anything useful out of it. Anything less than 3.8L is going to be pointless for their applications (except maybe a lightweight sports car, a la Ferrari 355).

I don't think this is of any use. Honda has had V8s for years in racing. CART ring a bell?
