I'm pretty sure all magazines post their best runs, but I'm pretty sure C&D is the only one to post the average of their best run in EACH direction. For example, they may get 13.9 for an S2000 as one direction's best run, but only 14.1 as the other direction's best time, they take the average of those two best times from each direction, which is 14. Why do they run in each direction? They said to correct any wind factor that may play a part in the testing. I'm just telling you what their article said.

Man I will never understand this obsession with a few tenths of a second in acceleration. I used to care about that stuff when I was 14 and read car magazines all day long. Now that I'm all grown up I see it as merely a reference point, one element out of dozens that make up a car's overall personality.
