Congrats! I had been waiting a long time for the new model and was quite disappointed with the exterior design when they released it but it's really growing on me now, especially in that dark grey! I'm still considering getting one as a DD once I pay off the S.

The one thing I still don't like is the stock wheels; they just look really small and sunken in... but thats easy to fix with a nice aftermarket set

I am interested to see the car review long term.

The cyl #4 issue is more then turbo placement it's timing and lean map design.

I am going to be interested to see what aftermarket tunes come out. If it suffers the same BRZ related track problems and if the higher boost figures don't lead to problems sooner.

There isn't anything wrong with the EJ motor itself. It's all been what subi did on the ECU side. We have one out this way that is regularly beat on at the track without problems, but it's off the stock map which I think might be something you'll want to do.

I really like the interior improvement. Wonder if it'll get the subi dash rattle though. That's bee. 20+ years a problem.

idk how accurate that is. I agree Subaru stock tunes have always been shit, but their have been people with aftermarket tunes that have had the same problems as people with stock tunes.

Ill probably end up keeping this through the power train warranty. Approx. 3 years & 60k miles. I also have geico mechanical breakdown insurance for like $15/6 months so I'm not too worried if i do end up modding it.

lol thats the story with every new gen wrx. Everyone hates it initially. & than the ugliness grows on you lol.

I hate the stock wheels. I would get aftermarket wheels if it wasn't for the shitty roads i drive on everyday. Went through 5 tires this year between my cars.

You can see if there are problems by watching to see if it tries to keep 14:1 af while in early boost.

Yeah its out of my budget for a daily unfortunately, and I wouldn't want to settle on the older wrx - less gadgets, more problems.

How is the ride, handling, and noise of the new WRX compared to the S?

Nice ride! Test drove one about a week ago, it felt like a completely different car than my old 07 WRX. Right now I'm hunting for an AP1, if I don't find one mid summer I may say screw it and just order a WRX. Really miss my old one.
