From what I hear the upcoming GT3 will only come in one flavor. With the PDK. That's what the rumor says.

My sales guy was telling me they're drastically reducing the number of manuals in the car allocated to the dealership. Something like 80% of the 911s are equipped with the PDK. It took me forever to find this S model with the manual and options I wanted. I could've custom ordered one to my exact specs but the turnaround was something like 3 to 4 months for delivery. I snagged this one right off the boat headed to a dealership in Pasadena.

I cannot drive a sports/performance car with a 'auto' tranny. I need to be engaged with the driving experience. As great as the PDK is with lightning quick shifts and efficiency...it's still an automatic. yes, I know it's a DCT which technically makes it a manual, but still.

That is true. Although do they still use a clutch pedal or a semi-manual transmission (automatic clutch with manual shifter)? The only big truck I have driven was a dump truck but with an automatic trans.

Might've been something I said, about how I loved the car as much as her.

"Driving 911 cars with a manual gearbox and Sport Chrono pack can now be even sportier: In Sport Plus mode, the system automatically double-declutches during downshifts."

So it's like Nissans Syncro Rev Match ?

And it wouldn't be a double clutch, that's just Porsche trying to fancy up the term Rev match.
Double clutching is unnecessary unless you don't have synchros.

Also, Why would Porsche offer a manual on the 991 Carrera but not the GT3, makes no sense to me.
If a manual was not offered on any model 991 it would be a strong indication that Porsche is going all PDK but since it is offered on the Carrera I would be very surprised if it is not also offered on the GT3.
