If i didn't buy my Dodge i had been looking at slightly used Z06's because of the engine/ trans / exhaust / etc..... i think if i had it to do over i would have gotten an aggressive alignment and probably enjoyed the handling on mine better... I really liked my 08. they rev to ??? 7200? something fairly high for a 427ci! exhaust sound is effing awesome when the baffles are open! I probably hit the rev limiter in 4th gear about 50 times in mine in the 5 months i had it. I could do that on my way to the gym on a bridge that was on the way.

You gonna keep it mostly stock? besides the handling and maybe exhaust I don't think there is any great reason to modify them! maybe some gunmetal volk TE37's.
I'll be putting two-piece rotors, stainless lines and racing compound pads on it, definitely tweaking the alignment and perhaps looking for a second set of rims for a set of track rubber. The exhaust seems fine as is, I may install a switch to put it into quiet mode if I ever get tired of the roar. Clear bra is going on this week as well and hard wiring the V1 of course but beyond that not really looking to make big changes. It's pretty damn good as it sits.
Ive got the afx rotors on mine. I think it saves like 56lbs total. Whats is cost to do a full kit with rotors? Since the 2 piece are like a $1700 upgrade. May make sense to buy a full kit then sell yours for at least $1000

We run a couple of Z06s here at work so I'll be putting on whatever two-piece rotor solution we developed here; I don't believe it's commercially available on the open market (yet). Definitely a big weight savings but more importantly the cost of consumables goes way down after the initial investment.

jealous.

Varies based on the film type and coverage. You can get an idea from here but keep in mind that this doesn't include installation labor if you don't do it yourself: http://www.xpel.com/products/paint_protection_kits.asp

After watching the experts work on the car for close to four hours, there's no way I'd attempt this on my own

I the yellow color! Congrats!

Any speeding tickets yet?

I heard Chevy was discounting these big time! I would love to get one but need back seats for the kiddies...
