The 458 is over a second faster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I'm guessing that 458 has an issue or some sort of throttle limiter, who knows, very odd.

So we test drove a new camaro ss today as my friend is thinking about picking one up, and was I impressed. I still can not grasp the idea in my head that we drove a camaro. We also compared it to a 2015 camaro and that thing was like spaghetti in regards to the feel and sound. I wonder if my wife would divorce me if I park one next to the V lol.

I really like the new camaro. The visibility out isn't very good. The performance for the money is outstanding. Best to buy used. They drop a lot.

Awesome you got to do another road trip and show a 458 whats up. 458 should be faster, but a 43k mile rental, that thing probably isn't running at peak condition. ATS-V is a quick car for sure though.

Yeah, we are loving the Camaro SS. Not sure if you need an ATS-V AND a Camaro though. Then again, what the heck. haha.

Caddy is bone stock? No way it should be out running a 458!

I wouldn't say running away but up until the higher mph I was inching forward a bit but then he started pulling once we were gaining speed. I think the broader tq of the turbos helped my cause and the higher hp helped his. In any event it was fun mine is bone stock btw, and I think the 458 had an aftermarket exhaust. BTW driving the 458 was really fun through the mountains. I highly recommend it. We paid $999 for 24 hours unlimited miles. We probably put close to 600miles on it in the time frame.

This forum doesn't have a "sarcastically making a jerk off motion" emoticon?

There are over 7 million people in the DFW Metroplex.

Nevertheless, I agree. All those places are better than Texas. Stay there.

Reminds me of the "don't californicate Montana" stickers I see! People around here are frustrated by the escalating cost of real estate.

Well a quick update with the car, I have been hit with GM quality control it seems like. Took the car to the dealer last Friday due to white smoke coming out of the exhaust during cold starts. They think it's either bad valve seats or turbo seals. So I maybe getting new heads or turbos once they can confirm what the exact issue. Not thrilled about the problem but I still very much enjoy driving the car. At least it's under warranty and hopefully they will get the issue resolved. Let's keep fingers crossed. My dealer has never seen a Atsv before so this will be interesting to see how they will do working on the car. I should know more tommorrow I hope.
