Default S2K vs. RSX Type S

At first I thought I was settled on getting the RSX and then I started reading about the S2k. I thought my mind was then made up for sure that I would want to get the S2k but then I looked at the newer RSX'S again and well lets just say im not sure which ones to get. Both are great cars in different areas I understand but both appeal to me. I currently have an 00 Civic Si.

Reasons For Buying An S2000
-Love the convertable
-Like the 2seater
-6spd trans w/ F20c or F22c
-Rear wheel drive
-Alot of potential but already fun out of the box
-Great 50/50 balance
-S2k is a great car
-Would be looking for an 05+

Reasons For Buying An RSX Type S
-Great styling
-6spd w/ K20a2
-Can keep up with the s2k with kpro + i/e/h
-Rear seat
-I would throw a jrsc on it because it give great power to the k20 and the whine is insane
-Really good lookin car also
-More room
-Planning on moving so it would be more ideal on a confortable car for the trip and getting around town
-Looking for an 05+

So if anyone can shed some light on my situation it would be helpful. Also if I would need to answer any questions for you to help me I will do so.

Thanks Again

Then eliminate "vs." from your title. "Vs." usually connotes a comparison.

How can you say you're not comparing the two?

Isn't comparison shopping what you do when you buy a car?

A lot of potential in terms of what? Unless you're going to spend a lot of money on the S2000, it's pretty much as optimized as it gets.

Also, why 05+? You could probably save yourself some money and find a nice 04.

As someone else said RWD>FWD, but that can be dangerous if you decide to drive it like a fwd car...

I know you intended to not have another one of those threads, but you have two cars where you're weighing pros and cons and asking for some opinions on a decision between the two... that makes it a comparison.
If space has a mild interest for you, may want to go with teh rsx, otherwise S all the way. Me, I really don't care about 2 extra passengers, truck space is enough for my lifestyle, and I have a comp car to drive on teh daily. Performance wise they can be very comparable, but the S will probably be the most fun in that price range (hence why I bought it). Only thing I don't like about the S is: lack of torque (when you first drive/buy it, it feels more than enough, now I'm left wanting more although acceleration is more than enough for me) and the fact that it's a vert, I learned that I'm not a big drop top kinda guy.

the RSX seems more to your suit...moving and for long trips.
But It sounds like you are comparing the two cars.

The s2k is way more fun to drive, period. You don't need any other reason. Keep your civic and buy the s2k.

I don't care what the original poster said (he's in comparison denial), but yeah FWD is soo training-wheels.

Why buy an RSX if he already has a Civic Si? You would think you'd want an upgrade not a lateral move.

RSX/Integra = Civic Fastback.
