I hate to admit it, but I know someone who got a tattoo of a rotary design with his RX-8 VIN over it

And then he sold the car
I was watching Inked, and this girl came in to get a cover up of a guy's name. The guy was in jail at the time she met him, and she wanted to surprise him when he got out, but he didn't stick around. Now, who the hell gets a tatoo for someone they met in jail?

Well... thats not the worst. When I was in high school, my little brother had a friend who started a garage metal band (aptly) called "Inept." Before the band had ever played a single gig, he got the band name tattooed in big green/blue letters under his belly button. The band quickly broke up as almost all high school bands do and the kid is now a bartender at a local dive.

Best part (oh, Im laughing right now typing this): the kid now has the word inept, which means incompetent or unable to perform, permanantly placed just above his "man tackle."

You cant make this stuff up... the irony is just too perfect.
I hope that kid one day runs for public office, and you get to break the news. That'd be awesome.

I didn't dig too deep, but it appears the dude owns a VW. While its not my cup of tea, if he wants a VW tat fine. By why get a tattoo of a logo of a car you don't even own? I mean I think Ferrari's are sweet, but the odds of me putting their logo anywhere on my body is somewhere between slim and none. Granted, the Honda logo's got about the same odds, albeit slightly higher.

wow, I'm not sure which part is more ridiculous: the tatoo or someone claiming vwvortex is a good forum.
The Vortex might be full of fanboys, but TheCarLounge is a great place for auto enthusiasts of all backgrounds. Been a member there for about 7 years now.
