Here's some more pics: http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gall...Params=Itemnr=1

Looks pretty cool, but I'd guess it's gonna be $200K+. I know there are a bunch of Vette fanatics out there with loads of dough, but the ZR-1 should cost about half as much, not an insignificant savings...

Rumor is $180K + the donor car.
I have no doubt that anything built by Pratt & Miller will have astonishing performance, way beyond the performance capabilities of anything else in the $200K + range.

So, that's about $250K then, right? Ouch. Lotsa coin. But, aren't 599s going for around $500K now? I'd rather have one of them, but, with markup, they're a lot more.

Pratt & Miller makes some awesome cars.......at least what I've witnessed with their ALMS program with their C6R.

how much would it cost to buy a Z06, get it to 600HP, take off some weight, and upgrade the suspension, brakes, and wheels?

Brand new Z06 = 71K (according to chevys website, but i bet its closer to 90 after markup)
Complete Kenne Bell Supercharger kit= 7K(601WHP@9psi)
Keeping up or beating a 250K C6RS with your 80K Z06(at least in a strait line) = priceless.

Probably around $20K for wheels, good coilovers, brakes, and a reliable 600HP. Probably not very street friendly at that point.
The weight , aero, and engineering to make it all work together would not be cheap.
Since Pratt and Miller builds the C6R, I am pretty sure that this car will have incredible performance as well as being a quite civilized street car.
As far as putting an SC on the Z06, thats fine for drag racing but that is really not what we are talking about here. The C6RS will have outstanding road course performance and reliability with daily driver capability. Which is just the opposite of what a supercharged Z06 would be.

The power band is almost the same for both of them. I dont think that the supercharger would be what is going to make or break it around the track or for daily driver capability. I think the fact that the C6R is 1.6in WIDER and 1.5in lower is going to be the biggest factor in its tractablity vs the stock Z06 w/supercharger, followed closely by the the tire size and the rest of the suspension set up. But to each his own.

I've been a Finance Director with a GM dealership for 8 years and 12 years in the car biz.. New ZO6 sells for $65k + avg. socal markup 5k to 10k, but lately with the economy shift, and demand drop, we've sold them for sticker or 2k above that's it!! Unfortunately for these awesome machines, when a new updated platform comes in, the last gen. corvette always drops market value quick.. Example we sell used 01 to 05 ZO6's between 20k to 35k depending on condition and mileage here's the link>(http://rydells.com/used_vehicle_deta...4cc34bfac355ed) these were sold brandnew back then for 50k plus!! We had a 06 ZO6 sell for 52k 2 months ago that only had 19k on the odo!!

A Late model ZO6 is a phenomenon in it's own right, I drove an 06 as a Demo for a month, and stock alone it can cause serious injury to those you dare to challenge it.. I've also driven them for 2yrs off and on at Bondurant.. You can obtain serious power with the slightest mods, and can be made to outperform the C6RS, but if you owned your own Pratt & Miller you would be doing the same thing.. "Race on sunday, sell on monday"

Awesome car. Lots of money, but still awesome.

Still, I'll take an F430, I think. I have about as much a chance of driving that to its limits as the P&W car, so I'll just take the better looking one.
