Whose moved on from an S2K to a Vette? Wound up buying a 16 Mustang GT Performance Pack.

I have enough drive time in a C6 (both my son and nephew own them) that I respect the power and handling easily exceeding the S2000 but miss the nimble feel every time I drive them. But the C7 really offers a different experience and feel that I could happily switch to the C7.
The drop top C7 in the post above is beautiful and exactly what I would want.

Definitely drive a couple of Vettes before making the switch. They are truly awesome cars, but certainly not for everyone. I still have my S2000 and I love the car, but it feels kind of like a "toy" compared to driving a Z06.

Also, OP, it's "who's" not "whose." "Who's" is a contraction made of "who" and "has."
I'll crawl back into my whole now (see what I did there?).

I found a 2012 red manual base vette local to me. I am going to try and get a test drive in within the next day or two and see how I like it. I'm sure if I like it I would like the z06 even more.

I moved on from an 06 S2000 to a 14 C7 Vette in February 14.
This car has ungodly power (460 hp) and handling and wonderful electronics and luxury amenities, including a 10 speaker Bose stereo. It has 5 driving modes: touring, weather, eco (4 cylinders deactivated and 30 mpg), sport, and track. Each driving mode has different suspension, steering, and exhaust settings and different dash displays, including tach and speedo. It's an absolute electronic marvel. The knock on past Vettes for cheap interior and uncomfortable seats is no more. I miss the small size of the S2000, but everything else about Big Red is far superior.

CTS-V + keep S2000=automotive bliss.
I just had to throw that in there.
You can now find early V sedans in the high 20's. More room, more luxury, handles great for a 4200 pound pig, and you can put a baby seat in it. I did when my son was younger.
Way cooler than a 'vette IMHO.
If you just want a play car to replace the S2000 with, a C6Z will do you just right for all the reasons you state.
