Default Why no RSX Type R in the U.S.?

Looked like the redline was 8500rpm and it seemed pretty fast and awesome in general. Why doesn't Honda offer this in the U.S.? I know the Type S is 80% of the Type R, but I would like to see the Type R here in the U.S.

This is what I believe: Honda has a very safe marketing strategy. They'll do weird things, but they won't do anything if they dont' need to. They're doing pretty well, so they don't want to brign teh type R too soon. I think the only way they'll bring the Type R is if the Type S sales go down by a LOT. I HOPE this happens when the new Si comes here and robs the sales of the Type S, forcing them to bring the Type R here!

Well...i can tell you that you are not the first one to come up with this question.

right now, how much is RSX-S...23k? and with all the FP add ons...like 26-27k?

so if they bring Type R then lets see....Type R will be like 30k???

it wouldnt make sense to bring type R...Honda wouldnt make much money for all the trouble they have to bring to sell few to selected customers.

yeah you can say..well i'll buy it.. i mean i would even consider buying it.

my previous car was Integra Type R and i love it even still and i also wished that they brought RSX-R.

A friend ordered several of their DVD's. They were certainly well-made and worth the money for the entertainment, laughs, and cool car contests.

I thought the RSX will be discontinued soon due to slumping sales, unlike the TSX which is doing very well. Correct me if I'm wrong.
