Would you buy a used Cayman S with a Turbo?

Just so happens I was reading on Planet 9 about these kits recently. They do sounds good, but as always there can be problems when boosting. Here is a relevant thread, perhaps:

Yeah, I've read that thread too.
About what you'd expect. 2-3 people who have had problems are unhappy. Those that have had easy installations and flawless operation absolutely love it. Spoke with the seller again last night, and he's come down in price a bit. Very close to pulling the trigger...

^^^ Sounds like you've already made up your mind. Rationalize your decision to spend $40,000 on a used car with an aftermarket turbo kit in whatever way makes you feel comfortable with that decision.

I had a PPI done today (on my dime) by the local Cayman specialist. He loves the car, and he's handled all of it's maintenance the past few years. No issues from him. He also spoke very highly of the company (a few hundred miles away) that did the turbo installation.
I've signed a conditional bill of sale, put down a deposit, and I'm making arrangements to fly up on Tuesday and complete the deal.

"Fly up" as in drive the car home? How long of a trip? I just hope you don't end up hating your first impression if you're stuck in a small car on a long road trip. Then again if it were me I'd enjoy every minute of it.

Cayman is very comfortable even though it's roughly the same size as the S2000. More legroom, shoulder room and nicer cabin with MUCH less wind noise.

Yes, fly up and drive home. From Memphis it's about 400 miles to stay with family in GA. Then 200 to my sister's in Jacksonville for Thanksgiving, then back to S. FL at the end of next week.
Not terribly worried about it being a small car. I've done long road trips in the S2000 (up to 3k miles one trip), and the Cayman actually feels roomier on the inside. I'm not new to small cars either, I've daily driven my S2000 for 10 years now.

Originally I saw mention in the classifieds on 6speedonline.com
The actual sale ad can be found here:

And the turbo install on this car was documented here (with dyno sheets)
