125cc
Dear S2K owners,
I have had two s2k, and still the current one until it dies on me in many moons to come. Alas a new job in London means that the S2K is not a practical way of commuting.
I have booked my CBT on Sunday, and hope to bike to work. I am thinking about doing my full bike license in a few months. I need a really (really) cheap way to practice on a 125cc manual bike.
Does anybody know of any good bikes they can recommend, or even better a place where I can get one from for sub £500?
Rikki

If living in London i.e. no motorways on the commute you should consider getting a scooter as opposed to a bike. It will be just as quick around town but a lot more practical.
Hope the CBT goes well.
If restricted to a 125cc I would never buy a motorbike ... Scooters are far easier to use in London.
When I worked at Notting HIll I had a Honda Blackbird ... 1100cc ... and an Aprilia SR125 scooter ... people got out of the way of the Blackbird due to it's presence but the scooter always got me there and back quicker and with less hassle ! Twist and go in traffic is definitely better ...
I now have a 300cc scooter that is little bigger than my old 125cc and it does what it says on the tin - if it is just for commuting then I would not go for a motorbike !

The thing that always worries me with scooters is the clothing that people wear whilst riding them, i've seen women wearing almost nought but a belt and a bra and silly heels. Do people not realise what happens when you come off, even at low speed?
People cycle in next to nothing too, I think sub 30mph so long as you don't end up under the bike it shouldn't be too bad
But it gets exponentially more damaging with speed.
I was doing 50kmh today on my road bike in shorts
