Well, better late than never - here are a few images from this years excellent British GP
On Saturday evening my son and I where wandering up the start / finish straight at Silverstone peering over the pit wall hoping to snatch the odd glimpse of some activity in the garages. I noticed a vehicle access gate had been left ajar so we popped into the pits....well, it would have been rude not to!!
Not only where the garages a hive of activity, with lots on engine noise!! but all the cars where wheeled into the pit lane for scrutinering. Very, very cool indeed.
I took a good few snps of the cars and was only shooed away once - when I poked my lens into the rear of the Ferrari!!!
How many 8 year olds get this close to a Ferrari less than 24 hours before a GP???
This is the steering wheel on the Ferrari (spot the horn ) - I believe it was the 1st time the Scuderia raced with this wheel - notice that large display screen in the upper centre portion of the wheel - the team can send text messages / instructions to the drivers on this.
The Jordan and the very clever 'Be On Edge' signage (plus some nice Honda badges!)
Seeing double - BAR noses!
Some of Matt's chums!!!
Hospital operating theatre's are less sterile than modern F1 garages:
