Default 2nd Hand Values

Went to a local car auction in the week with a mate who was after something cheap for his wife.
Saw a very clean & tidy dark blue 01 BMW Z4 with fsh and 70k struggle to get to 2,800 for which it was sold
There were a few other very nice cars attracting no interest at all, Saabs, Mercs, Audi's, or going for really silly money. Fortunately, I have no intention of changing my S, but heaven help those that are trying to, or does its rarity and desirability help keep its prices reasonable?

Christ! Sounds like there was probably something dubious, any idea if it was cleared for having no crash damage etc?

The market is definitely almost non existent at the moment in my current experience.

I've been offered again top whack for my diesel, (51 Reg GT TDi ) don't know what they are thinking as they could get a 1.8T Golf similiar spec and mileage for half the price....how long until they recoup that difference in TAX and fuel!

There are many bargains to be had at the auctions at the moment. I picked up one of my current cars for next to nothing from the auctions in Bristol earlier this year - brilliant!
