Perhaps the 2.2 is a lot better than the V6 then;

That was as rubbery and badly weighted in its controls as an old Vectra.

A 65,000-mile Prelude is superior in every respect!

The V6 is variable 4WD apparantly, and the dealer said it was a bit "lazy" and sluggish....

2.2 was quite rolly

You're going to test drive a Brera as a tow car???

My brother drives Alfas - they break down a lot - I'd never buy one.

Jo, you still have sorted out your priorities for the new car. The Subaru Legacy is really what you need/want. Instead look at the BMW 325 TDi or 530 TDi. Towing, fun, well built. Sorry, no BMW for you. Audi A4 TDi for you or maybe the Touareg?

BTW a belated happy birthday, I never did get your email and Dan's was logged as spam. The latter is rather predictable.

Rahul's right!

I've got quite a soft spot for those bonkers JDM Legacy estates.

You'd probably be better off testing how well it could be towed.

I would by one with a tow bar on the front.

Pretty car, why can't they just get the dealers in line.

Everyone knows they are crap, apart from Alfa apparantly.

There is a major exercise to slash the number of dealers by nearly half to get them into line & to have a professional dealer as good as any of its peers.

Still won't make the car anymore initially relaible, but it may after a year in and out of the dealers be then ok?
