I guess they can't say that any more though...
How is it different to the basic 1.6? I think the Civic is overstyled like the 206 and 306. The top of the range model of both cars had real difficulty distinguishing themselves from the base models.
I suspect the Civic will be the same, there's no badging on the front at all, and from the side it's not even got big alloys to set itself apart.
The Type R is going to need massive alloys, some sort of badge on the front (no idea where it's going to go though, so they'll probably settle for the enlarged red H), and beside a Type R badge on the back, no one will be able to tell the difference there either. They've designed themselves out any kind of freedom to play with the design for the Type R. When you look at the concept pics it's just a yellow civic with big alloys/brakes.

Independent rear suspension's what it needs & an additional front toe link, like a DC5.
I fear it's more styling over substance, aimed at knowledge-free poseurs.

I reckon the new civic type s will be quicker than all lotus elises.
A slammed Civic 1.4 with a Spoon sticker out runs and out-handles all of them.
Apparently.

Paul, IIRC in addition to your comments the front bit behind the H will be CF for just that little bit extra.
