it lives once more...the POS breathes...

chap i bought from came to the house with jump leads and turned it over for about 5 minutes, finally it coughed and spluttered into life....

he reckons sould have been fuel starvation (with 1/4 tank!!) as left for a week a little downhill (nose first).

Either way, it seems to drive fine and no warning lights or anything so maybe it will be my next 200k mile warrior....more likely....next stop Dick Lovett Mini...

fingers crossed its fires in the morning!

I thought there was supposed to be a NRV to prevent that from happening.

I suppose that was too simple and they'd installed Antigravityautosensotronic instead...

either way i have seemingly upset the audi-sport.net forum members....

apparently audi's are only supposed to last 100k miles and after that they are as good as scrap and anyone that expects more is a fool....I mean who buys a car with 120k on the clock...fools!

those guys defend their breed to the hilt. I am just an idiot for getting anoyed that my audi broke down as it was obvious with that mileage...thats was all cars do....isn't it...

I told you Audi > completely gullible twunt!

Even when it doesn't work any more, I suppose they can still rub off over the quality of the interior plastics - try that in yer 140,000 mile jap crap!

Tell them they bought an overpriced SEAT and sit back and watch the argument unfold

The PD150 was a cracking engine, the newer 2.0Tdi 170bhp lumps, less so, especially if you're one of the unfortunate souls that got lumped with a DPF system

The problem I suspect is more to do with the skills of those doing the maintenance / problem solving than it is to do with the car itself but that's far from an Audi specific problem.
