I'd need to see & try a new GTR I think!

Already done one track day, got one more booked and considering another couple!

Please tell me you plan to take yours to Angelsey? I need a pax ride before you chop it!

Thinking about it, 50k or so will buy a decent 355 or 360 Modena

I'd rather have an AMV8 I reckon, wait a year or so for the new R8 V10 to come out and the old V8 wont be far off that kind of money either.

I'm not in any rush to change.
Though I have found myself hitting the rev limiter more and more

[QUOTE=Boab01,Jun 27 2008, 06:57 PM] I'd take a look at the GTR as well. What Gaddafi says to a greater degree is true, you can feel the economies of owning a Jap car but the performance/

If I was in 50K land - Id be more likely to spend 15K on an X5 3.0d sport, a trailer and 20K worth of track beasty - that leaves 15K for mods, expenses, hookers etc or if you dont like the X5 a 535d m sport est for 25K and less cash for hookers

Depreciation's a bit misleading; your GTR can only lose 35 large at most, whereas the car under discussion's done more than that already! Fark knows what the GT5000 will do, but I can guess...

One thing I would add; the GT2 probably justifies the price by the thrill factor, which a cooking 911 doesn't. So I might be happier in that. Except, like the GTR and GT5000, I'm concerned that the car's actually too fast to be thrilling, unless you are rich enough to have a track in your garden.
It is BS, I'm about as working class as Penelope Keith. I just struggle with the concept of buying just one car for 60k when I can have 3 for 20k.

Valid point about the car being too fast, these days I'm enjoying going like stink round corners but don't tend to floor it when the road is straight (mostly because plod is hiding behind a bush). Perhaps the new Noble whenever it gets finished. Just wish the S2k was a little more plush on the inside.

I'd be shocked if the GT5000 was falling in to the DB9 price bracket, I genuinely think that would be an enormous mistake.

Still want to know more about the GTR, may have to book myself in for a test drive.
