AC Cobra
A mate of mine (Martin) rang me this morning inviting me to go with him to a kit car show at Newark. He came round for me in his Cobra replica 5ltr V8. What a beast, it's a bit raw but what a sound. We filled up with petrol and Martin zeroed the trip and said that's not bad about 13 mpg
and he said that was taking it steady. I bet we were in single figures on the way home

The husband of a mate of my wife's is building one of these. I can't wait until he's finished it (another coupl of weeks he thinks)e. Wow1
Jill and I are goingto Ascot with them on Tuesday so I'll know more about it then
Mind you, Jill says he's risking his marriage on it as he's hardly seen his wife since he started the project and she's pretty pi$$ed off.

It's dark blue. He's got a lot of work to do on it, but that's why he bought it. He's an excellent mechanic and a real fanatic.
I was amazed how many there was at the show, about 40 Cobra replicas and not two the same.
And the Ferrari replicas
with V12 jag engines 400+ bhp.
