Default Accelerated past camera too early

I was driving home late last night after a meal with work, and was determined to pass a Golf that was playing silly buggers in front of me (weaving, accelerating then slowing etc).

So I get along side the guy, we both slow down for the speed camera (50mph zone on an empty dual carriageway) and then I floor it only to get flashed by the camera - bugger

It looks like my 17 years of never getting pulled or caught have now come to an end

On estimations this morning coming the other way down the same stretch, I reckon the maximum I could possibly have been doing by the end of the white lines was 59, so it was pretty close.

I know it's my own fault but I'm kicking myself as I know this road very well. Grrrrr

Hold tight for 14 days Neil, you'll know by then, Still, at least it won;t cost you any more - the insurance companies now assume everyone has 3 points.

Fingers crossed

To be fair, I can't complain at having 17 years of not being pulled. I'm normally very careful in 30s/40s and don't often do over 85 on dual/motorways.

I was probably due a pull for my country road driving though. It's just frustrating that I was caught by a camera I'd just slowed down for  !

I think that the camera would need to have taken two photos with the car on the measuring lines. Could be that there is only one good photo & you could query it ? Could be wrong of course.

Probably because he was on the floor of the car doing a or two at you being flashed
