Has anyone driven one of these things - are they as grim as they appear?

Why on earth are you looking at that? I expect it has a shorter waiting list than the Prius

I have a real penchant for crap microcars! I'd love to have a drive.

Reliant tried to import them once.

By biggest problem with it is the dreaded F-word - cf. the dire electrics.

used for a learner car... poor sod that learnt to drive in it, has probably been put off anything with an engine!

atleast if your going to get a crapmobile, a KA, corsa or fiesta would be on the list.

I disagree; anything that crude teaches one about braking & handling in a way a modern computergame car cannot.

If you can drive that, you can drive anything. Would be better with a constant-mesh manual 'box though!

My eldest daughter is after a car and as she's been a complete shit for the past couple of years, I thought this may be 'payback'!

It could be pretty cheap to run on vegetable oil too...

Dualit toasters are faster & more reliable, having a clockwork motor!

Seen a few of these crawling around Milton Keynes - they both look and smell awful, never mind how awful they sound.

Would rather have a Reliant Robin.
