The Dokota would be a no brainer but it has to be the Citroen

We have one that's just approaching 3 years old and it's due to be replaced. Here's the original thread Wifey's new motor.

The last three years and 30k miles of ownership have been largely trouble free. The car is a good main car option and does everything well. It's ok on a long run, handles and rides tidily (slightly numb steering aside) and is returning around 36 mpg as an average across the whole driving spectrum, when driven with my new found circumspection. It has a good load area, especially with the back seats down and has met all our requirements.

So what issues have we encountered I hear you ask. We've had two temp sensor failures (ironically a BMW part) that have caused issues with starting/running. The biggest issue has been with the dealer though. They haven't managed to get their head around managing a slightly more upmarket product so the level of customer service has been lower than I would have expected. The biggest issue though was with shoddy workmanship; during the last temp sensor repair (an epic in it's self owing to wrong parts being ordered on two consecutive days) the bottom radiator hose wasn't done up properly resulting in all the coolant being dumped out of the car whilst on a dual carriageway. To the dealer's credit they were very apologetic and sorted the issue with no fuss and were happy to give an undertaking that any damage arising from the issue in future would be covered.

The usual PSA reliability issues haven't occurred and the build quality has proven to be good; it's been bolted together well (not to German/Jap levels, but good enough) and has done all that we have asked of it.

Overall we're both been very happy with the car and will replacing it with another one in November/December this year. Would I recommend one? Yes, definitely. Would I keep this one? Nope, it's on a PCP and as I'd have to pay it off anyway, I may as well have a shiny new one with a warranty and that nice new car smell
