Default Anyone driven the new Z4?

Can't believe i'm even asking this question, but has anyone? I had the first version shortly after it came out and hated it, rubbish ride, terrible interior and it wasn't the 3.0 so performance was completely rubbish. While out walking the dog just now i was passed twice by a black new version, it looked absolutely stunning. Might take a look in the BMW dealers tomorrow, but was just curious if there were any opinions before i do?

I looked at the one in BMW in Edinburgh but of course they have the range topper and was soooooo much more than my pocket would go for, so didn't bother with a drive.

unladen weight is 1600kg for the 3.0 turbo (s drive3.5) which is a bit lardy for a roadster IMHO. It's my big criticism of the 350Z as well.

I could consider the 35i for the smoooooth powerful motor, classy looks and luxurious interior. But the weight and price put me off. 330Kg heavier than the S and twice the price. Doesn't stack up and I'm certain won't be as much FUN to drive. Still a bloody decent effort though if you're in the market for that kind of car.

The new Z4 is that big, an interior swimming pool is on the options list.

I'm not really interested in comparisons to S2000's, i've done the s2k thing 3 times now and have no interest in them. More interested in views of this new Z4 from someone who's actually driven it, instead of just quoting weights blah, blah, blah.

Maybe. But a few people here can come with me to get their S2000 blinkers removed.
