nice one hyper. i've always beleived bhp and rpm is better than less bhp and but more torque; i knew the gearing has an influence on accleration; i've just never really fully understood why but your post sums it up nicely.

The worst thing is, I was sepaking to Soulcrew at the N.Wales meet yesterday who condensed my entire letter into one sentence:

'The gearstick is a torque amplifier'

Summed it up nicely!
